Character Focus |
Classroom ExpectationsIn second grade, we have one classroom rule:
Make the right choice! You have the power to choose! Give your best effort all the time
Participate in class activities, do your fair share during partner work,, and always do the best you can on your assignments. Get started right away and get your work finished on time. Keep your space and your work organized Clean up after yourself, put things away where they belong, and use your folders, book bin, and pencil cup to keep materials from getting lost. Follow school rules wherever you go Follow hallway, restroom, recess, cafeteria, gym, and bus rules all of the time. Listen to and follow the directions of the adults in charge. Be responsible for yourself Solve small problems on your own, keep track of your belongings and learning materials, and stay focused on what you need to do (instead of others). Listen carefully and follow directions right away When a teacher or a classmate is speaking, make sure you are facing the person, respond to what they are saying, and do what they ask you to do right away. Be kind to everyone Make sure your words and your actions to others will not hurt their body or their feelings. Take the time to do kind acts for others without expecting anything in return. |
